Cream of pear, melon and avocado: Baby Foods
Makes about 2 portions
125g (4oz) cantaloupe melon, deseeded and chopped
1/2 pear, peeled cored and chopped
1/2 ripe avocado, peeled and stoned
Steam the melon and pear together for 5 minutes, then allow to cool slightly. Puree or mash with a fork to a smooth consistency. Mash the avocado and mix in with the melon and pear puree.
Serve straight away or the avocado will begin to discolour. However, you can keep it in the fridge, in a sealed container, for up to a day. Not suitable for freezing.
